M : 무슨 걱정거리라도 있어? 심각한 얼굴을 하고 있네.
W : 우리 비행기가 또 지연되었어요.
▶ What's eating you?를 직역하면 "무엇이 너를 먹고 있니?"가 되지만 "무슨 걱정거리[고민] 있니?"의 의미입니다.
▶ make a long face 슬픈[심각한, 탐탁지 않은, 싫은] 얼굴을 하다 ⇒ make 대신 pull이나 wear를 사용해도 됩니다.
e.g.
You are pulling a long face.
You are wearing a long face.
▶ deláy (vt) 미루다, 연기하다, 지체시키다 ⇒ be delayed = get delayed 연기되다, 지체되다[수동태]
e.g.
You'd better delay your depárture. "너 출발을 연기하는 게 좋겠다."
The train was delayed by heavy snow. "열차가 폭설로 연착되었다."
▶ delay 동사 대신 postpone를 사용할 수 있습니다.

Our flight got postponed again!
M : Oh, really? I can't believe it!
W : I know. This is horrible.
M : 오, 정말? 말도 안돼.
W : 그러게요. 끔찍한 일이죠.
▶ I can't believe it!을 직역하면 "그걸 믿을 수가 없다"지만 상황에 따라 다양한 해석이 나옵니다.
▶ horrible 무서운, 끔찍한
M : Well, it's one of those things, so, we might as well make the best of it.
W : Good idea. Let's go do some window shopping while we wait for our flight.
M : 음, 흔히 있는 일이니까 시간을 최대한 이용하는 것이 좋겠어.
W : 좋은 생각이에요. 우리 비행기를 기다리는 동안 윈도우 샤핑이나 하러 가요.
▶ It's one of those things. 흔히 있는 일이다 ⇒ Those things happen이라고도 합니다.
▶ might as well = had better ~ 하는 편이[것이] 낫다
e.g.
You might as well go out. = You had better go out. "너 외출하는게 좋겠다." ⇒ 회화체로는 had를 생략하고 말하는 것이 일반적입니다. You better go out.
▶ make the best of ... 을 최대한 이용하다
▶ Let's go 뒤에 and가 생략되어 있습니다. go와 come 동사 뒤에서는 and를 생략할 수 있습니다.
▶ window shopping 물건을 사지는 않고 구경만 하는 것 ⇒ eye shopping은 Konglish입니다.
