K : Oh, my gosh! When's the next flight?

Announcement : Attention, please. Flight JA 8088 to Tokyo is canceled due to the storm.

▶ due to = because of ~ 으로 인해, ~ 때문에

K : Did you catch the announcement just now?

A : Fraid not. I wasn't paying attention.

A : 아니오.

▶ Fraid not = I'm afraid not의 준말입니다. I'm afraid I didn't catch the announcement가 됩니다.

K : Well, I'm going to go to the counter and ask. Could you keep an eye on my bags?

A : Sure.

A : 물론이죠.

▶ be going to = will

▶ keep an eye on something : something

K : Thank you. I'll be back in a flash.

A : No problem. Take your time.

A : 괜찮아요.

▶ in a flash 번개같이 ⇒ I'll be back in a flash 대신 I'll be right back이라고도 합니다.

▶ take one's time 천천히 ~ 하세요

K : Excuse me. What was the announcement just made? I didn't catch that.

B : The announcement was that Flight JA 8088 to Tokyo was canceled due to the storm.

▶ What was the announcement just made?

▶ I didn't catch that. = I didn't hear that.

▶ The announcement was that S + V : 안내방송(⇒ The announcement)은 that 절(⇒ that Flight JA 8088 to Tokyo was canceled due to the storm이었습니다(⇒ was).

K : Oh, my gosh! When's the next flight?

B : We are not sure, but maybe sometime tomorrow.

Oh, my gosh!

▶ sometime 언젠가 ⇒ sometime tomorrow 내일 쯤[중], sometime in 2006 : 2006년 중에

K : In the mean time, what do I do?

: We're putting up all the passengers at a five-star hotel.

▶ in the mean time 그 동안에

▶ What do I do?는 What should I do?

e.g.

What do we do? = What should we do?

e.g.

I'll put up at the Hilton Hotel.
