▶ miss (vt) 놓치다
▶ connect (vt) 연결하다
e.g.
A : Will you please connect me with Jean?
B : You are connected.
A : 진한테 연결해 주시겠어요?
B : 연결되었습니다.
▶ connecting은 connect의 동명사인데 connection이라는 명사형도 존재하므로 connecting flight를 connection flight라고도 합니다.
▶ ahead (ad) 전방에[으로], 앞에[으로], 앞서서
e.g.
Walk ahead of me. "내 앞에서 걸어라."
Let's push the time of departure ahead. "출발 시각을 앞당기자."
He is ahead of you. "그가 너보다 앞서 있다."

K : 연결 비행편을 놓쳤는데요, 제 가방들이 목적지로 먼저 갔습니다.
A : 걱정마십시오, 손님. 저희가 할 수 있는 건 다 해보겠습니다.
K : Will my bags still be there for me when I get there?
A : Yes, sir. We'll call ahead and have them hold your bags for you.
▶ hold (vt) 보관하다
K : 제가 그곳에 도착할 때까지 제 가방들이 그곳에 있을까요?
A : 네, 손님. 저희가 먼저 전화를 해서 그들[직원들이] 선생님 가방을 보관하도록 하겠습니다.

▶ which leavea in about an hour는 the next one[flight]를 수식하는 형용사절
