▶ in case S + V : 만일 .... 이면, ~하는 경우에는, ~의 경우에 대비하여

e.g.

In case I'm late, don't wait to leave. "제가 늦으면 먼저 떠나세요."

In case it should reain, take un umbrella. "비가 올 경우를 대비해서 우산을 가져가라."

▶ 1 grand = 1,000 dollars

▶ steep (가격 따위가) 터무니없는 = exorbitant = too expensive

▶ giftwrap (vt) 선물용으로 포장하다

ⓙ : 이 시계 얼마죠, 신디?

ⓢ : 2천 달러요.

ⓙ : 너무 비싸군요. 좀 깎아주시겠어요?

ⓢ : 죄송합니다만, 할인을 하지 않습니다.

ⓙ : 알겠어요. 가져갈게요. 선물용으로 포장해주시겠어요?
