No matter + 의문사 + S + V

No matter + 의문사 + S + (may) + V : 비록 ... 한다 하더라도

주어 뒤의 may 조동사는 생략이 가능합니다.

 

  No matter what they may say, I'll keep silent.
 "그들이 뭐라 말하든, 난 침묵을 지킬 거야."
= No matter what they say, I'll keep silent.

  No matter how we may do it, the result will be the same.
  "우리가 어떻게 그걸 하더라도, 결과는 마찬가지일 거야."
= No matter how we do it, the result will be the same.

 

▶ the same 같은

 

  No matter where you may go, I'll go after you.
  "당신이 어딜 가시더라도, 전 당신을 따를 거예요."
= No matter where you go, I'll go after you.

 

▶ go after 따라가다

▶ 형용사나 부사의 위치는 의문사 뒤에!
▶ be sure to do[원형동사] 반드시[꼭] ~ 하다
